2025 is the second year that Rose City Track has entered a complete team in Hood to Coast. The event has been a team favorite from the early days, with team members participating in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
This year’s Hood To Coast wouldn’t have happened without team captain Jordan Steelman. From securing the application and covering costs, to recruiting teammates, renting vans, and keeping everything organized, Jordan made it all possible.
But beyond the logistics, it was the heart he poured into the experience that stood out. As Kirk Sutherland said, “Captain, my captain. We couldn’t have done it without Jordan. And I certainly wouldn’t have been able to run my legs, as he drove when I wasn’t behind the wheel.” Kasey Geller shared, “Jordan was so welcoming when I joined—he was one of the first people I connected with. He really did everything for everyone else without even thinking twice about it.”
Jordan’s leadership shined not only in the planning, but also in the countless small moments of encouragement, kindness, and generosity. “I really appreciated how Jordan kindly answered all my questions and made me feel very welcome,” said Matilda Msall.
